Pablo Trapero, Producer.

He was born in Buenos Aires in 1971 and completed his film studies in the Argentinean Universidad del Cine. In 1999 he directed his first feature film, Mundo Grúa, which won awards in several festivals and was exhibited commercially all over Europe and in the United States. In 2001 he presented his short film Naikor at several film festivals, including Locarno, Rotterdam and Buenos Aires, He also produced the film La Libertad, by Lisandro Alonso which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival that year. In 2002 his second film El Bonaerense premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to great critical success. The film was distributed in Europe and Latin America. That year he also started his own production company, Matanza Cine, with which he produces Argentinean films and participates in international co-productions. In 2004 he premiered his third film, Familia Rodante at the Venice Film Festival. He is currently preparing his next film, Nacido y Criado, which he will start shooting in August 2005.
